Match registration FAQs

WHEN DO MEMBERS GET TO REGISTER FOR A MATCH?
Members get a two-day jump on match registration over non-members. If a match fills with members only, then it’s filled. If not, 48 hours after it opens to members, the remaining spots will be available for non-members to purchase.

WHEN DO MATCHES OPEN FOR REGISTRATION?
Dates of match registrations are posted on the schedule page: http://bwrifle.com/2018-schedule/
The times and dates are also posted in the store when you click on each match. Most matches will open around 4pm CST. This is subject to change and if there are changes, that will be posted to our news/updates page. The time is approximate. The matches need to be opened up manually so they could be a few minutes early or a few minutes late.

WHEN DOES MATCH REGISTRATION CLOSE?
Match registration closes when 1) a match fills. You can tell a match is full when the store says “out of stock” and the registration time / date has passed. 2) Approximately 10 days before the match date, if the match has not filled. This is to leave time to provide competitor info to our MDs so they can send out information. Within 10 days of a match, if there were still match spots, you will have to contact the MD directly if you want to get in. It will be up to their discretion whether or not to allow last minute competitors to fill remaining openings.

HOW DO I REGISTER FOR A MATCH AS A MEMBER?
In order to register for a match during this member period – the member must have created an account on our website and of course, have purchased a membership. Once this happens, login https://bwrifle.com/my-account/ and make sure you can see the matches in the “member only match registration” part of the store: http://bwrifle.com/store/

I BOUGHT A MEMBERSHIP AND STILL CAN’T SEE MEMBER ONLY MATCH REGISTRATION
Before January 1st, 2018 you could buy a membership without creating an account. After Jan 1st, everyone was mandated to create an account when they purchased a season membership. A few people who bought memberships very early on chose not to create an account.

So – if you don’t have a website account/login, create one here. After you create one, you have to contact me – adrianalan@gmail.com – so we can give you “permission” to access the member-only matches. We’ve emailed, posted on Facebook, posted on the forum, posted on the website – and a number people still have not created their accounts.

A MATCH IS FULL AND I CAN’T GET IN / I BOUGHT A SPOT IN A MATCH AND CAN’T MAKE IT

I CAN’T MAKE A MATCH ANYMORE. CAN I HAVE A REFUND?
No. With 20 matches this year at 50+ shooters a match, we can’t keep track of all of this and expect to stay employed and married. You can sell your spot to someone else on the Precision Rifle Forums BWRS Section . If the match filled during the member only registration time, you need to make a good faith effort to sell to another BWRS member. In other words, don’t make a “straw purchase” for a non-member friend. If they want in that bad, tell them to buy a membership.

WHO DO I NOTIFY IF I SELL MY MATCH SPOT
Please notify the match director directly. Their information can be found on both the schedule page and under the match you registered for in the store.

I AM HAVING TROUBLE LOADING THE PAGE TO REGISTER
There is usually a rush to register in the first 15 minutes of a match opening and with all the traffic, the website can slow down. Usually if you hit refresh it will be good to go. We have made some improvements with the website and are continually trying to optimize it.

WHY ARE DIFFERENT MATCHES DIFFERENT PRICES?
Match directors set prices – not BWRS. Different ranges have different agreements with MDs, different matches offer different facilities, amenities, etc. We believe all the matches are reasonably priced. Remember we have some incredible sponsors providing an opportunity to win some cool prizes, which is difficult to do for a smaller, 1-day match series.

HOW MANY MATCH SPOTS CAN I BUY AT ONCE?
You can buy up to two match spots at each checkout, however, during member only registration times, you may only purchase a spot for another member. This will be strictly enforced. If you do this, be sure to include the name and email of the person you are buying the spot for.

WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MATCH DETAILS?
MDs will send out match details 1-2 weeks before their match.

MY ORDER SAYS “PROCESSING.” AM I REGISTERED FOR THE MATCH?
Yes. If your payment went through, you are in. The order will only say complete after we go through and compile match lists.

I STILL HAVEN’T GOTTEN MY T-SHIRT
T-shirts don’t grow on trees. They have to be designed, printed and shipped. We will let you know when the T-shirts ship.
