The Border War Rifle Series is expanding for our second year. The 2018 season will consist of over 20 matches being held across nine states: Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, Indiana, Nebraska Kansas and Kentucky. Matches are predominantly designed for the use of a bolt-action precision rifle capable of dialing distances out to 1,000 yards.
In only the second year of existence, the Border War Rifle Series has grown into one of the largest precision rifle / steel shooting series’ in the country. With generous support from our sponsors, and our 1-day match formats, BWRS provides shooters a fun and affordable way to participate in high-level competitive precision shooting.
At the end of the regular season, the top shooters are invited to the season finale match to determine the final season rankings. In 2017, Nathan Alvar took the top spot at the finale match, and Andy Folk clenched the series championship. Thank you to all our sponsors, volunteers and shooters for making our inaugural year so successful. Thank you to the US Army and Ft. McCoy MWR for hosting the 2017 Finale Match.
